Panic! At The Disco | Vices & Virtues (Item added by CarmaQueen)

Item ID: 370   Report Abuse
Panic! At The Disco, the platinum-selling and Grammy-nominated group from Las Vegas, NV, is back and in better shape than ever with their hugely anticipated third studio album, Vices & Virtues. Two members lighter, the group is looking to stave off rumors of their disbanding by showing the world they are very much in the picture, and ready to take the world on once again. Based on the energy and response from their sold-out album preview show in New York, it seems Panic! is going to do just that. Vices & Virtues pushes the classic Panic! sound to new heights, capturing the glory of A Fever You Can't Sweat Out all the while securing their spot with a new generation of fans.  I will come back to life. But only for you, only for you.   July 9, 2013   Report Abuse

In my honest opinion, although there are only two of the original members in this album lineup, the actual songs remind me of the old Panic! At the Disco. Even the fact that the exclamation point after Panic is back, signifies that the band itself is back. For me, as the title of this review so blatantly suggests, my favorite song on the album is titled "The Calendar. In my opinion, this is an interesting take on a love story. A take that suggests that even knowing that something won't work, there's only one person that can bring you back to the way you were. For me, this album brought the band back to life.

Music Review: Panic! At The Disco | Vices & Virtues   July 8, 2013   Report Abuse

The Ballad of Mona Lisa the beginning reminds me of a carnival. They use many different instruments but most of them are the ever present guitar and drums. The vocals in this song are very well done and have a wide variety of ranges. Its also a very catchy song, kudos to them for making such a good catch to the crowd. in the middle of the song it slows down just a tad and I just love the musical break they add.
