Animal Crossing: City Folk (Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City in PAL regions) is a Wii video game and the fourth addition (which includes the Japanese only Animal Forest) to the Animal Crossing series. The game features a heavy emphasis on interaction and is the first ever game to make use of WiiSpeak. Another prominent feature is the introduction of a city along with the always present town. In the city you're able to go to the hair salon, the auction house, the theatre, Gracie's shop and the HRA to see what's going on in other people's villages. You can also get your shoes shined by Kicks, visit Redd and get your fortune told by Katrina. Edit Description (Description last edited by saivamsi)

Great game, highly recommended   January 30, 2014   Report Abuse

As a big fan of Animal Crossing from the first game onward, the incremental improvements have resulted in this being the most impressive iteration yet. There's loads to do every day, decorating your house is lots of fun, and all the different characters in the town keep it interesting. Highly recommended.

Fun & Simple Game   July 8, 2013   Report Abuse

I really enjoyed Animal Crossing City Folk. Its pretty simple. Simple enough for my 5 year old to play. I would say its fun too as long as you like a slower paced game. I like to play it just to kill some time. But my daughter really likes it because of all the cute characters. I would recommend it for little kids.

Pack your bags, you're off on a new adventure   July 7, 2013   Report Abuse

In Animal Crossing City Folk you create your own town and your own character. You choose your house and get a job working for Tom Nook, a raccoon who owns a store. You work for "bells" so you can buy newer furniture and clothes. You can also make bells by catching fish and bugs. You have neighbors, some of whom are bubbly and friendly, others who are grouchy. Then there's the city. You can take a bus to the city where you can get a new hairstyle, have your fortune told, buy expensive furniture, or gain access to a little shop with "black market" items. If you're lucky the balloon guy is there selling balloon and pinwheels.

Animal crossing is fun for all ages. There's always something to do, be it trying to catch rare bugs and fish, or special festivals corresponding to the current real-life holiday or season. Highly addictive!
